This Advertising Policy sets the rules for ads served through Codeback. It applies to every campaign and is part of our Terms of Service. By advertising with us, you agree to follow it.
1. Ad format
A Codeback ad is a single short sponsored line that replaces the editor’s idle “thinking” status while the AI is reasoning. Each ad:
- is clearly labelled as sponsored;
- is a single short line of text (no images, scripts, or animation); and
- links to a single landing page.
2. Review & approval
Campaigns may be reviewed before or after they go live. We may approve, reject, pause, or remove any ad or landing page at any time, with or without notice. Approval is not an endorsement and does not waive your responsibility for compliance.
3. Prohibited content
Ads and landing pages must not promote, contain, or link to:
- illegal goods, services, or activities;
- adult or sexually explicit content;
- gambling where it is restricted or unlicensed;
- malware, spyware, or deceptive or unwanted downloads;
- hate speech, harassment, or content that incites violence;
- misleading, false, or deceptive claims;
- impersonation of a person, brand, or organisation;
- infringement of intellectual property or trademarks;
- crypto scams, “get rich quick” schemes, or other financial fraud; and
- anything that endangers user safety or violates applicable law.
4. Landing-page requirements
- the landing page must clearly match what the ad promises;
- it must be functional, safe, and free of malware;
- it must not trigger automatic downloads or unexpected redirects; and
- it must not use deceptive interfaces or hidden charges.
5. Trademarks & intellectual property
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to all content, names, logos, and trademarks used in your ads and landing pages. You agree not to infringe the rights of others, and you indemnify Codeback against any related claims.
6. Targeting limits
Targeting must be lawful and non-discriminatory. You may not target ads in ways that are unlawful, that rely on sensitive personal characteristics, or that attempt to identify or single out individual developers.
7. Enforcement
If a campaign violates this policy, we may pause or remove it, reject future submissions, or suspend your account. Amounts already spent on campaigns removed for policy violations are non-refundable. We may report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.
